Summary
It’s Day 8 of the Olympics and I head down to Le Golf National to end the second week of the Games. It’s Third Round action for Men’s Golf as I was able to catch Rory McElroy, Jason Day, Xander Schauffele, Victor Perez, Scottie Scheffler and more. It was mostly an overcast day, which helped bring some respite for people out there who had been working the event. They shared how hot it had been.
While there, a woman called out my USA shirt. I was like, you sound like an American and she was. Her name was Erica and she was from Detroit. She was the first American Volunteer I had met at the games and she shared her experience at the games, including the fact that some volunteers were selling parts of their outfits for up to $300 Euros.
It was also at this point where Parisians who had left Paris were having a case of FOMO as the charm of the Games had swept up the city.
