Summary
It’s Day 5 of the Olympics so I make my way over to Roland-Garros to check off a bucket list item by watching tennis there. At Center Court I watch Novak Djokovic take on Dominik Koepfer in men’s singles. Then I went over to the open courts to see Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula take on the Czech Republic in women’s doubles.
A heatwave has overtaken Paris at this point so I don’t last too long. In search of shade I come across an odd site in Paris, a bakery selling chocolatines. Not odd since it’s a pain au chocolat, a chocolate croissant, but odd in that nobody in that area calls it that.
In the evening I head up to Porte de la Chapelle Arena to watch Badminton.
