Summary
It’s Day 1 of the Paris Olympics and I head out to Eiffel Tower Stadium where Beach Volleyball was being played. It was the first ticket I had purchased, wanting to see how this one of a kind, temporary venue would be, and it was every bit as surreal as imagined.
There was a light rain at times, a continuation from the day before, but it cleared by the late evening. Australia and China played on the women’s side and Brazil took on Morocco on the men’s side.
After the match we headed over to the Olympic Cauldron at the Tuileries Garden. It was a beautiful sunset as visitors enjoyed the ephemeral scene.
