Summary
It’s Day 9 of the Olympics and we kick off the final week by heading over to Yves-du-Manoir Stadium in Colombes for Men’s Hockey (Field Hockey). India took on Great Britain and Belgium played Spain in the Quarterfinals.
I learned that the stadium was in fact the same one that hosted the Olympic Games a hundred years ago in Paris. The same steel beams had survived all through these years and a blue turf adorned the field for these matches.
Before the matches started, I stopped by a local boulangerie and came across a cookie croissant. It was the first time I had seen one in the wild. It had gone viral from Maison Louvard, who came up with the original idea. Curious, I picked one up. It then became a match on its own trying to finish it.
