Summary
It’s Day 11 of the Olympics and so I made my way back to South Paris Arena for Women’s Volleyball featuring a Quarterfinal match between China and Turkey. I was graciously invited by Melissa and Chris (merci!!! and sorry, I said Craig in the video) as a thank you. They had seen previous videos I had done on the Pass Jeux which helped with their trip planning. So I sat with their families and enjoyed the amazing view courtside. The match was electric and went the full distance. The difference was Melissa Vargas who was a force for Turkey.
After a break I came back to South Paris Arena for Table Tennis which featured team matches. Sweden and Germany’s men’s teams squared off and Japan and Thailand’s women’s teams matched up for Quarterfinals play.
Towards the end of the evening I got an alert and read a story about Yang Xiao Chu, a Chinese restaurant near the arena which had become a de facto HQ for the Table Tennis world. Curious, I left to try to catch a late dinner there.
